Registered Behavior Tech

A Behavior Technician provides 1:1 behavioral intervention services to children with special needs and support to their families. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based programs as directed the Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Case Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two years of College (AA Degree)
  2. Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or desire to work toward receiving you RBT.
  3. Two (2) years experience, preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Completes a BACB approved RBT course and keeps registration to the BACB current.
  2. Assists the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.
  3. Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes.
  4. Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel.
  5. Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
  6. With the BCBA, instructs clients and family/significant others in home programs and protocols.
  7. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  8. Observes confidentiality and safeguards all client related information.
  9. Immediately reports to BCBA/ Therapy Supervisor any client incidents/variances or complaints.
  10. Appearance is always within Agency standards; is clean and well groomed.
  11. Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation.
  12. Maintains clean and neat work environment.
  13. Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making.
  14. Maintains current CPR certification.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

JOB RELATIONSHIP:

Supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analyst and /or Director of Programming
